Busy Busy Busy...

I have been sooooooooooooooo busy up here at work trying to get quarterly reports out and getting my regular work done. Along with a tax deadline today!! It's crazy. I look at my desk and it's just a mess, paper's everywhere, stacks of files all over the place! I can't stand it when my desk is a mess. AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

Last night, Kylan was acting like a 2 year old (terrible 2's). He turned 1 on the 22nd and he's already acting terrible!! Last night, he decided he was going to stomp his feet and throw a fit. Then, I was changing his diaper before I put him to bed and he decided he was going to throw his paci at me. So I told him no, that we don't do that and I stuck the paci back in his mouth. He only takes the paci when he goes to bed. Well, he threw it at me again and went "ugggghhhhh". Well, I took the paci away from him and put him in bed. I think, since he threw it at me, he shouldn't get it back. Well, I was just going to let him scream it out and then Scott said, "you didn't let me tell him good night." I told him to go in there and tell him good night but DON'T GIVE HIM HIS PACI SINCE HE THREW IT AT ME 2 TIMES. What did he do, he went in there, told him good night and gave him his paci because "he was screaming." Ugggggh, soooo frustrating. I don't want him to have that paci not just because he threw it at me, but it's going to start messing his teeth up!! Well, that is going to have to be something I am going to have to work on.

On another note, I am sooooo ready for this fun filled weekend! We aren't really sure what we are doing on Saturday but we might go to the fair or go to some kind of carnival a ways away with Granna, Pappy, and Tay Tay. Not really sure what we are doing. Then, on Sunday, it's going to be a day for just me and my sister. I plan on taking her to the movies to see a chick flick, if there is a good one, and out to eat for her birthday!! Can't wait! :-)

Monday's, don't you just love them?!?!?!

Well, this weekend was pretty uneventful! Saturday we lounged around the house. I was feeling a little under the weather and I was thinking Kylan was too because he was VERY cranky. Scott watched the OU-TX game, which didn't turn out very good while Kylan and I took a nap. We woke up Sunday to go eat breakfast and this is what we found:






The bottom one is of Kylan wondering why we are laughing. Come to find out, it was Jonathan, Scott's aunt's husband. We kinda figured it was him because they were joking around with each other about Texas winning. All Scott said was, he just better hope Texas wins next year!! LOL

I can't wait for this weekend!! I am hoping that we can take Kylan on his first trip to the State Fair since it's the last weekend. Hopefully we can go and I will have some pictures up. :-)

Will December ever get here???

I am sooooo ready for December 12th to get here!!! I am planning a little weekend getaway for Scott and I. We are going to Fredericksburg and staying at a little bed and breakfast. I am hoping to go on a wine trail and do some tasting but we'll see. I have to look and see what all there is to do down there. I've heard there are some good places to shop and a place called The Enchanted Rock that sounds interesting!! Hmmmmmmmmm, what to do!!! It's going to be sooooo relaxing....

Weekend....

It was a pretty good weekend! Saturday, we actually didn't do anything for a change! We got up, went and ate IHOP (for the last time, explained below) and went home to do alot of nothing. Well, Scott mowed the yard while Kylan took a nap. Scott let me take a nap while he watched Kylan that afternoon, so sweet of him, and then went to a wedding for a little while that evening. It was really nice to just do nothing all day! :-) As for Sunday, it was a little busier. Scott had some running around he had to do so he had a Daddy-Son day while I went to Canton with my mom and sister. It was really nice, no kids, not too hot, and not too crowded. I went not really expecting to buy anything but came back with some goodies. They had alot of cute stuff there but I don't have a little girl. I have a boy and for some reason, no one likes to carry cute stuff for little boys. Maybe I should just start up a little business selling mainly boy stuff! It would probably be a big hit because I have the hardest time finding boy stuff so surely other people have that problem too! Hmmmm, something to think about! :-)

Well, today, I AM STARVING!!! We have this thing going on up here at work where we have a pot. Every person who is participating puts in $20. For every pound a person gains, that person has to put a dollar in the pot. Whoever reaches a weight loss of 20 lbs first gets all the money in the pot. I don't care so much about the $20 I put in, I just want to lose my last 20 lbs to be where I should be for my height. If I could just get past this first part of being hungry all the time and wanting a coke, I can do this!! I am excited!! :-) I'm already proud of myself because I have lost all my pregnancy weight and plus some, this would just be the cherry on top! Wish me luck and I will keep ya'll updated!

Kylan's 1st shiner....

Well, Kylan has his first black eye!! Poor baby! He has decided that he likes to stand up in the bath tub when he takes a bath. I was going to order one of those bumpers for the tub but it is on backorder so I am waiting on that. Well, he stood up and put his hands on the side of the tub and there he went! He fell and we could see the big softball instantly under his eye. He really didn't get too upset but he was still crying. This morning, Scott brought him into the bathroom while I was getting ready and his eye was all purple. Here are a couple of pictures.... Poor baby!

We also started him on soy milk last night. He slept pretty good so hopefully the soy milk will work with him a little better than cows milk. I'll keep you updated!

Trick or Treat....

Oh, and by the way, I got Kylan's Halloween Costume and he's going to be a monkey! He actually gets to go trick or treating this year. Last year he was only 5 weeks old so he slept the whole time. Here he is trying on his costume....

Hump Day!

Boy is this ever a hump day today!! I had the hardest time waking up this morning. Maybe because Scott has a dentist appointment at 9:00 and he was still sleeping when I was almost done getting ready! The highlight or my morning was going into Kylan's room to give him a kiss goodbye and he was in his bed lying all weird. I was leaning over to give him a kiss and he opens his eyes really fast and starts laughing at me like he was trying to fool me into thinking he was really asleep! It was so cute and funny. So I took him into the other room with Scott and Kylan gave me his regular open mouthed kiss goodbye and told me he loved me! :-) Is it wrong for me to feel special because I am the ONLY one he will give kisses to? I guess he's definitely a momma's boy! :-)

Yesterday, I was ironing my dress for work today, since the office has a funeral to go to, and I had slightly closed the laundry room door so Kylan couldn't get in to mess with the cat's stuff. Kylan was throwing his toys in through the crack and started whining and saying Uh Oh. So I would hand him his toy and he says Thank You! I had been trying to teach him good manners and I am sooooo glad that it's paying off. I want him to be the kid where people say, he's so polite!


I am soooo excited about getting out of the house and having some "me time" on Sunday. My mom and I are doing our ritual of going to Canton. We usually like to go in the fall and spring just to get away. I just hope I don't see anything I like and really want to buy!! That's usually when I see stuff though. :-(

Anyway, off to work I go since it's a half day and since quarterly reports are coming up.
